Fairgrounds are used in many different ways, but the attendance is usually highest when there is a state or county fair where the whole family can have a good time at a reasonable price. If they are hosting a state fair, fete, or carnival, then you should ask them if they will have rides, games, or themes that are appropriate for children and if there will be horses, markets, and treats that your family will enjoy. Ask the office how much admission costs so you can decide if you want to pay for it. Be sure to find out if you have to pay extra for parking or if this is included in the price of the ticket. Ask them how much it costs to play games and ride roller coasters too. Most fairs charge extra for people to enjoy certain attractions, so you want to be sure that you can afford the price of the whole day.
